Numerous people have sleeping problems or they suffer from insomnia. Sleep deprivation can cause many negative consequences over the health. The insomnia is very debilitating and frustrating and it can affect many aspects of life.

The symptoms of insomnia are low energy and motivation, inability to concentrate or focus, increased accidents, fatigue, anxiety, mood swings, increased fatigue during daylight, irritability and poor memory.

People, usually are prescribed to take pills or sedative hypnotics that contain hypnotic drugs like barbiturates or benzodiazepines (which are used to treat anxiety, but they lead to drowsiness and sleeping difficulties).

These include Librium, Ativan, Valium and Xanax. The barbiturates work by depressing the central nervous system that leads to sedation.
But all of these drugs can cause many side-effects. These are the adverse effects of sleeping pill usage like Rozerem, Ambien, Lunesta, Halcyon and Sonata:

-Dry mouth or throat, stomach pain, dizziness, changes in appetite, difficulty keeping balance, attention or memory issues, uncontrollable shaking of the body, burning or tingling in the hands, feet or legs, constipation, daytime drowsiness, heartburn, weakness, headaches and diarrhea;

Nutmeg is effective remedy that has many health benefits as it improves blood circulation, boosts the skin health, boosts the immune system, soothes pain, helps digestion and detoxes the body. It also has sedative properties that are helpful in the case of insomnia.
Grind dried nutmeg and add quarter of a tsp. of it in a glass of warm water. Drink it four to five hours before you go to sleep.
