For your breakfast: Prunes and Quinoa
Your day should be started with one bowl of quinoa, a whole grain that is rich in fiber, phosphorus and protein. Add prunes into the bowl, because they are rich in sorbitol(laxative) and fiber.
These are the ingredients you will need:
-1/2 cup of quinoa;
-1/3 cup of prunes (chopped);
-One tsp. of grated ginger;
-One tbs. of flaxseed oil;
-One cup of water;
-Pinch of nutmeg;
-Quarter cup of rice milk
How to prepare it:
Get a small pot and add the water, the quinoa, the nutmeg and the grated ginger and stir all the ingredients. Boil it.
After that, the heat should be reduces and you need to cover the pot, simmer for ten minutes and then add the rice milk and the prunes. Cover the pot again and cook the mixture for another five minutes. In the end, before you consume it, add the 1tbs. of flaxseed oil and stir the mixture.
Consume detox drinks as a snack, between your meals
A snack made of veggies- Veggie snack
You don’t have limit and you can have as much as you can of these following snack, during the day:
-Slice radishes, celery and cucumber, or some other fresh vegetables, mix them and put salt and pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.
Detox drink with pomegranate, pineapple and lemon
The needed ingredients:
-3/4 cup pineapple juice(sugar-free);
-One cup of pomegranate juice(sugar-free);
-Three cups of water
For making this juice you don’t need any juicer. You only have to mix the ingredients in one cup and enjoy in it. With these ingredients you will get four servings which you can consume during the day.
Detox drink with kale, ginger and pineapple
Ginger stimulates the bile that flow in the gall-bladder while the pineapple includes bromelain that helps digestion.
-1/2 cup of pineapple;
-Quart inch of ginger;
-One bunch of kale without the stems;
-1/2cup of mint;
-Two large cucumbers
Mix all of the ingredients in a juicer.
Fruit smoothie for lunch
-Quart cup of blueberries(frozen);
-Quart of banana;
-One tbs. of chia or flaxseed(ground)
-1/2 cup of ice;
-1/2 cup of almond milk(sugar-free, plain)
Add all of the ingredients in a blender. Mix them until you get a smooth concoction.
Blueberries are full with quercetin. This is a flavonoid that helps the immunity to improve and it is beneficial for the liver. The ground flaxseed is rich in omega-3, which is brain nourishing and it also contain fiber helps the healthy elimination. Bananas are very important for liver detoxification because they are rich in vitamin B6.
Vegetable broth soup for dinner
-Two quarts of water;
-Two tbs. of paprika;
-One fennel bulb(chopped) with stalks and fronds;
-Two red onions(chopped);
-Two tsp. of caraway seeds;
-Two celery stalks(chopped);
-Two tsp. of sea salt;
-One cup of shitake caps(sliced);
-1/2 cup of parsley(chopped);
-Four garlic cloves( large and chopped);
-Two tbs. of fresh oregano(chopped);
-Eight sprigs of parsley(chopped) with the leaves and the stems
With an exception of the chopped parsley, mix the other ingredients in a pot. Add the water, let it boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for one hour. The chopped parsley should be served topped.
Cabbage helps in detoxification of the kidneys and liver, while garlic helps the liver and the gall-bladder function. The fennel helps the bile to flow in the gall-bladder and the shitake mushrooms improve the enzymes of the liver.
